JPC back from Bangkok & UN Office on Drugs and Crime

Emma has just returned to Canada after a very successful UN Professional Placement, partly funded by the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. This placement will contribute to Emma's academic requirements for completing her law degree.

Emma supported the Communications and Advocacy Unit during her tenure which gave her broad exposure to the range of programmes that the ODC is carrying out in  East Asia and the Pacific. Here are links to some incredible stories she worked on this summer:

- Cambodia holds second advanced training on gender equality for protecting exploited children

- Viet Nam gets IT equipment to fight smuggling of migrants

- Better regional coordination needed to fight online sexual abuse of children in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region

- Response to transnational crime a key part of UNODC's new regional programme for Southeast Asia
