Education For All!

April 28, 2015: Best day yet! This is why I`m here. Went to the annual Education for All (EFA) meeting where they launched the Global Monitoring Report (GMR). In the 15 years since the EFA goals were set some good progress has been made but sadly we`re not even close to reaching targets. The highlight of the day was meeting these two bright, educated, articulate children who were there to represent all the children of Kenya. Danny is the President and Halima is the Speaker of the Children`s Government, and they did a wonderful and impactful job of articulating the challenges that must be overcome in order to succeed with Education for All. They are both a shining example of the power of education! It warmed my heart to watch them after the evening, run around and take silly pictures... like all children should do. For their sake and those that come after them, let`s do better in these next 15 years!
