JPC Alumni Melanie Walker's Photo Enters Finalist Stage

JPC, Melanie Walker was shortlisted for the 2014 "Travel with
Purpose" Photo Competition by Verge Magazine. There were almost 2000
entries and 49 were shortlisted.
Her
photo is #44 entitled, "The Right to Marry" and was taken during Melanie’s
work with Dr. Mohini Giri in India last year.

Voting
ends Dec. 31 and our bias is toward Melanie, of course.
The
contest which has been ongoing for several years, focuses on engaging Canadians
through their experiences of International Development and Volunteering, who
have or are living, working, or studying abroad.
The
Grand Prize is $1,000 and selected short-listed images will be displayed at the
2014 Toronto, Montreal and Boston Go Global Expos, and will be published in
Verge Magazine's Photo Annual edition.
