UN Day in Nepal is October 29

The UN House in Nepal hosted a vibrant programme to celebrate UN Day in Nepal which included a film presentation  illustrating Nepal's significant progress toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals.  Speakers included UN Resident Coordinator, Jamie McGoldrick, and Nepal's acting Prime Minister, the Right Honorable Mr. Khil Raj Regmi.
With elections coming up on November 19, Nepali's are eager to discuss the completion of Nepal's new constitution, which has been in the works since 2006.









After the formal presentations, guests were able to visit booths set up by all of the UN agencies working in Nepal.
JPC, Bronwyn Russell, has contributed to the MEDEP project, a microfinance project funded by UNDP and the Australian government.
